Listen for the Lie ~ Amy Tintera

I listened to this book on Audible after it being suggested by a friend who said they thought the format would be a cool experience to listen to. And it was! There are both male and female narrators so you really get a feeling for the characters and are separated from our main character, Lucy, and the podcast being made about her.

This is a really great thriller. Lucy has long been thought of the girl who murdered her best friend and got away with it. She is a pariah of her home town and likes to make people uncomfortable with her sarcasm and irreverent comments about death and killing. She has no memory of the event and there is no proof, but that doesn’t matter to everyone who knows her.

I loved how we flipped from the podcast and the narration – it was a fun way for us as the reader and Lucy as a character to discover new developments and information. I am not sure if I would have enjoyed it as much in a text format, so I am glad I took the advice to listen to it.
