What a great twisty thriller. Paula Hawkins has done it again with The Blue Hour.
The details of the art and the landscape described in this book really bring everything to life. You can almost see the brushwork in the paintings mentioned and you can feel the wind in your hair as you’re reading about the storms.
James Becker has been studying the art of his idol since he was a child and his mother bought one of her canvases. That obsession got him great marks in school and a wonderful job where he has found the love of his life. With a baby on the way, Becker is trying to extract the last of the pieces of artwork that were left to the foundation he works for, and meets the artists friend/companion/carer and there starts the mystery of where artwork has disappeared to, what happend in the end of the artists life and why is there a human bone in one of her sculptures.
Great read, slow start but then becomes very hard to put down.
I borrowed my copy from the library but if you would like you purchase one and support my blog please use this link.
