The Inmate was my book club’s pick for November 2024.
If you have ever read a Freida McFadden book then you know they are the literary equivalent to popcorn. Quick and fun with not a lot of extra.
The Inmate has a ridiculous premise, a young beautiful nurse practitioner is hired to work in a mens maximum security prison and of course has a connection to one of its cell mates that could destroy everything she has created for herself and her young son.
It’s a fun ride without a lot of tension, I had most of the mystery solved at 25% but there was one fun little twist at the end I enjoyed. And I did have a couple chuckles in a few different places.
All in all – you know what you’re getting from this kind of book and I read it in an afternoon while on a short road trip to visit my sister.
