To The Gallows ~ Elizabeth Skarpnes

I was gifted a copy of To The Gallows as a thank you from the author for posting about it’s cover reveal. This book was everythign I didn’t know that I needed. I have been reading some heavier books lately and picked this up and I am SO happy that I did. It’s delightful!

Dual points of view follow Lorali, a high cleric who has devoted her entire life to her calling, and Eldric, a rouge man on his way to the gallows.

Lorali has known nothing but her devotion since she was brought to the temple in the city of Athera. Eldric used to be a guardsman, but after investing some suspicious behaviour, he lost his faith in the governing body and has been helping the people of the city outside the law, until he gets caught and his path runs directly into the beautiful high cleric who is to allow him to supplicate to the god of his choosing before death.

This book was wonderful. The relationship between our main characters is absolutely delightful. There is zero spice in this book which creates a friendship and genuine connection.

I loved this book. It came to me at the exact right time and I want everyone to read it and just feel wonderful for the experience.

Thank you to Elizabeth Skarpnes for the gifted copy, I appreciate you and your words and cannot wait to see what happens in Fall of the Dragon King.

To The Gallows will be available on Kindle Unlimited on August 26 2024 and you can add it to your library by clicking here.
