Do you enjoy fairy tales? I absolutely do. The Bloodstained Key is a great YA fairy tale that has a strong female lead, gothic castles and a lot of hidden secrets.
Marianna is still grieving her missing fiancé Will, but after two years of no word from him, she finds herself thrust back into the world of parties and society. As her fathers health declines she is faced with a decision, lose everything? Or marry the man who unnerves her to just be around?
Such a fun book, I loved how things are unravelled as we learn more about the mansion and the servants that live there. There is a hint of magic around every corner and we discover a lot more potential in the world around our characters.
I really want to read more after the last chapter! I need to know what Marianna’s next steps are after what she has found!
