First off I would like to thank Penguin Random House Canada for providing me with an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion

This book was a wild ride. We have dual timelines and multiple POV that make it so incredibly filled out but continue to keep us in the dark as the mystery unravels.

Molly lost her mother horrifically at the age of 3 and was the only witness to put away the man who hurt her mommy. Molly is now a grown woman with a son of her own and returns to her hometown to care for her ailing father. Strange phone calls telling her that she doesn’t remember begin to shake her faith in what she said in court all those years ago.

The whole book is so twisted over itself and very well written. I honestly was surprised by a couple of the twists, which as you know if you’ve been here a while, doesn’t happen often.

The way that everything comes out at the end really did catch me off guard and that epilogue – wow. I actually squirmed in my seat and wanted to yell through the pages (okay, Kindle).

Incredible work from a fellow Canadian I would recommend for someone who wants a creepy twisted story about murder, memories and the lengths people go to protect their family.

There are a few trigger warnings I would like to include which may spoil some things so please proceed with caution:
