Do you like horses? Do you like tarot cards? Do you like reading about young women coming of age in the early aughts in New York City, striving to maintain friendships, start careers and compete as equestrian athletes?
This book was actually really beautifully written. I was also a 20 something in the early 2000’s and I felt such a kinship with these women as they were trying to figure out who they are, but also who they wanted to be. It really drove home the fact we were all just faking it till we made it.
The twists in this story are like a ribbon blowing in the breeze, they slowly unravel and fill in the story.
I especially loved the tarot readings as each chapter heading. It was such a fun way to get to know Rosie and what she was going through internally. The knowledge of horses was so great (I grew up on a horse ranch) and really gave me a newfound appreciation for the people who work and train with these mammoth creatures.
