This book has everything you’re looking for in a fun Romantasy trilogy. Fae, demons, mages and merfolk. I was really excited to be offered to read this one in exchange for an honest review.
Leila is the healer of the Central Plains, known for her incredible skill. But she has a secret that she has been keeping for ten years. Her true identity could mean the death of her. With her best friend, she must navigate through the beginning battles that hint at a bigger war coming, she must decide to shed her secret identity or remain hidden away.
I loved the twists and reveals in this story. Nobody is who you think they are. The betrayals are epic and the romance is slow burning and terrific. I really enjoyed how visually this book was written, such incredible descriptions that put you right into the scene. I actually dreamed about this book which is very rare for me!
I can’t wait to see what book 2 has in store for us!
