I was provided with a copy of Out Cold in preparation of the publishing of Stone Cold – Book 2 of The Vampires of New Baltimore being released on October 13 2023, and I would like to thank Hidden Hollow Book Tours as well as Misty Provencher for this opportunity to review. (Both books are available on Kindle Unlimited)
We come into Out Cold a little confused, our main character, Nova, suffers from a traumatic brain injury that she received in a car accident that took the her parents lives. She now lives with her aunt and uncle and cousin Meg, who she shadows, even sleeping in the same bed in their small apartment, or is that the whole story?
Nova finds herself drawn to a museum exhibit with a picture of a man she cannot get out of her mind. Why does she feel this draw to him? What will happen if she returns to the museum on the night that a figure appears to grieve at the foot of a wedding dress?
I really enjoyed the whole story. Things that made me annoyed with Nova ended up actually making sense as more of the story unfolds. I cannot wait to sink my teeth into book 2 – Stone Cold, available now!
