Beyond the Horizon by K.J. Cloutier

What happens when you live on a secret island your entire life and are then given the opportunity to leave to try and help create peace between your people and the rest of the world? Would you walk away from everything you know to try and help you entire village?
This book was incredible. It starts off a little bit slow as we are building a new world, but the action kicks in quickly and does not stop. Pirates and Magic? I am in heaven.
The only reason this does not get a 5 star from me is I found quite a lot of errors in the text (I’m sorry, I can’t turn off my editor brain even when I’m just reading for entertainment) That being said, usually multiple spelling/grammar errors would make me DNF a book, but I could not put Beyond the Horizon down. That right there should tell you to get a copy immediately and immerse yourself into this world! (Dear KJ – If you’re reading this I’d love to beta read for your next project!!!)
I absolutely will read more from this author!
